Joystick Controller for XY Axis Movement

Can anybody please tell me if a single USB joystick controller would be able to operate the XY axis movements that various instrument programmes now feature?

If this unit could "revolve" the XY axis in the programmes, is it simple to programme the unit to do so?

    Your Komplete Kontrol MK3 keyboard have the Modulation wheel (Y) and the Expression Strip (X), sometime they are are set up as X and Y by default, sometime you may have to set this up in the instrument. The wheel and the strip is not perfect replacement of a proper XY joystick but it is a fairly close solution.

    Thanks for that info but I do not have a KK Mk3 keyboard.
