Maschine plus latest updatw

Hello, thanks for the update! At this point, everything is working much more stably than before, but there’s still a lot that needs improvement.

I’ve been a Maschine user for years and absolutely love the workflow—especially now that I can work in standalone mode and sample my synthesizers and instruments. However, audio stretching and its modes are causing serious issues for me. When I pitch-shift or change the stretching algorithms on several recorded loops, the CPU gets overloaded and the sound starts producing pops and clicks, which makes it very hard to work efficiently.

I’m a techno producer, and my workflow relies heavily on endless pitch-shifting, stretching, and tuning of recorded audio. The audio-on-gate feature is amazing—brilliantly designed and very useful—but unfortunately, it also taxes the CPU heavily, making it nearly unusable in a practical setting.

It would mean a lot if you could focus on optimizing the existing tools so they run smoothly in standalone mode. I know most of your user base might be hip-hop producers, but I want to emphasize that Maschine is also an incredible device for house and techno producers—we just need stable updates to keep working efficiently.

One crucial thing we’re missing as techno producers is proper LFOs and envelopes. These are essential for sound design, and currently they’re only available in the Sampler, where they don’t work as reliably. It would be amazing to have a dedicated LFO and envelope module that we can route to any synth or parameter—even the sampler itself.

Also, adding a proper compressor would be super helpful—even just porting over the ones you already have as VSTs would be a great start.

Thanks again and looking forward!

A lot of NIs older plugins (Which are absolutely superb by the way) are/were developed by 3rd parties, those are unlikely to be ported to M+, however, you can join the Discord where a bunch of people are making some great stuff for M+ in Reaktor.

Note, this is just users doing this stuff, there is nobody there from NI at all (they are very welcome though for sure) and it is all unofficial support.

I make mostly Techno with my M+ and rarely run into CPU performance issues. I dont use timestretch however due to the way it degrades audio quality. And I do always clear out any unused sounds and fx when loading in content I didnt author myself, this can potentially save tons of CPU on M+

What SD card are you using? Have you updated your M+ firmware as well as the OS?

I use Kingston U3 full size SD cards (Canvas Go Plus series IIRC?), they are quite cheap for 128/256GB cards
