Chords Tool Connundrum

Just got the Kontakt 8, horray. Just trying to figure it out, and my first hairy eyeball comes with the Chord tool. I hit a D on the keyboard, and it plays, like an Asharp or something. I don't understand… Why doesn't a D play a D chord, and maybe some keyswitches a couple of octaves away have the various voicings, modes, etc.?

    Hello,

that´s the concept of that chord tool, but if you want you can hover the mouse over a chord ring press record and play the chord you want on that ring, for c a c chord for d a d chord and so on as you like it, then save it for later use as a user preset. Or you use the advanced mode (click cogwheel, upper right area). then you can define some chords and select them with the coloured keys, and the green keys play the instrument, if you want to add some melodies or whatever by hand. If you don´t see the virtual keyboard try to press F3 with kontakt selected.
