Kontakt Libraries' Compatibility

Hi,
i'm new on NI community.
I would like to know if the old libraries of Kontakt can work on the newest version of Kontakt. For example: every those libraries that require kontakt 5.6.0 can they work on Kontakt 8 and in the future K 9, 10, etc? Or is there a limit?
The same question is for the Macos: if i use an old compatible library with kontakt 8, will it be compatible with the newest versions of Macos?
In few words: has a library to work with both macos and software or only this last one?

    Hello,

you can use older libraries with kontakt 8, even the legacy ones like the classic piano collection, as far as I know. I'm not a mac user myself but libraries should be no problem, I might be wrong.

Thank you for your thought Uwe303. Anyway, can i have a thought by macos users too? Because i have always had problems with macos compatibility and they (mac users) know what i mean

Kontakt is backwards compatible with most older libraries - I have some of the first Soniccouture libraries like Scriptorium and Abstrakt Instruments that still work - whether it is Mac or Win is irrelevant as they are cross platform.
