How to switch and record patters at Session Strings 2

How can I switch and record patterns at Session Strings 2 rhythm indicator? I noticed there is a MIDI CC automation learn function if you right-click on the pattern section. But I can't allocate keys or anything else to the patterns.

    I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but the automation learn function is there to allow you to assign different MIDI assignments from you controller to the controls in the interface. This would be how you'd use different keyboard controls to switch between the listed patterns.

    Generally speaking the patterns respond to the keys you're playing on your keyboard as the basis for how the pattern is played. Under each step in the pattern you see a control that looks like 3 circles on top of each other. If it's on, it plays the entire chord based on the rhythm and level shown in the pattern. If it's off it plays the sequence of notes in the chord being played based on the Order selected by clicking on the Order button.
