Kontakt / Komplete Kontrol - Can default volume setting (- 6db) be changed?

I am on Cubase and apart from Kontakt instruments I obviously also use numerous Steinberg instruments.

Generally the output volume level of Kontakt instruments is considerably lower than the one of Steinberg instruments. (I am using Kontakt 7 and Kontakt 8 player)
This is obviously due to Kontakt's / Komplete Kontrol's default output volume setting which is set to -6db.

My question: can this default setting be changed to another value to avoid having to manually change it (e.g. to 0 db) each time I open a new instance of Kontakt (or Komplete Kontrol)?

Not sure about Player, but there is indeed a setting under FILE > Options > Engine.
