I'm using Pro tools ultimate. The latest version with Mac Sonoma. Kontakt won't scroll up and down with my libraries on the left side. I've trashed prefs in Pro tools and Kontakt. No luck. Please help.

Thanks

I removed your email from your post - please don't include personally identifiable information in forum posts.

We would need a little more information.

What version of Kontakt (include minor version information from Kontakt's about screen)?

What exact version of macOS Sonoma?

What exact version of Pro Tools (I know you say latest, but could you be specific about the major/minor .dot version)?

Are you in Classic or Default View (in View settings)?

Have you tried opening the Kontakt standalone application and performing a rescan from the preferences?

Mathew, thanks so much for your help. I'm using Pro tools 24.10.2.205. Mac, Sonoma 12.7.4. Trying to use classic mode. I opened the stand alone version and the same problem is happening. My sound libs are on a NVME external drive. Everything was working fine until a couple months ago. Not sure what caused my situation. I trashed the prefs for Kontakt and protools. I'm using a mac studio 2022 with 64 gigs of ram.

    Thanks

@hugabug Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. What is the format of your external hard drive? On Mac, it should be APFS: Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers

Make sure that Kontakt and ProTools all have full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

    Does this help?

Jeremy, see below what Google Ai says about the fomatting.

While APFS is the native file system for modern macOS, it's not necessarily the ideal format for storing Kontakt libraries, especially on external drives. In fact, HFS+ (Mac OS Extended (Journaled)) is often recommended for Kontakt libraries, particularly for large, unencoded libraries, as APFS can lead to slower load times.

Well, this is true for operating systems before MacOS 10.13 but after that we do recommend APFS for best performance, it's the same format as the Macintosh HD where the OS is installed.

What is the format on yours? HFS+ or APFS should not make such a difference anyway.

Mine is APFS. Still trying to figure out why when scrolling through the libs it freezes a lot.

    Thanks for your help

Are you sure you are running Sonoma?

    "Sonoma 12.7.4"

    Because this is not Sonoma…
