the old defenitive pianos

i wish galaxy instruments remake all these three (and maybe more) pianos, i've been messing around and trying different pianos in the market for the last three years or so and i can safely say that there's nothing like the old ni pianos out there, the grandeur, gentleman, maverick, noire and the giant are the best of the best out there except for some missing features that i wish we get if there's ever going to be a remake thing.

in my opinion the latest acoustic piano from ni is the worst of all and is a disappointment compared to others, both in terms of sound and playability, yes i'm talking about claire…

all the previews pianos by ni sound so incredibly realistic, there are problems with the playability but no one can deny the fact that they sound just like a recorded instrument.

i want to point out some of the things that i think make these pianos so good and realistic :

01 unedited samples :

this is just an assumption but i think they haven't edited the individual samples to get a so called clean sound out of them, they all have the hammer noise in them and sound full of warmth and natural roundness which is quite hard to find in the modern vst market.

02 consistency across all ranges :

if you limit your keyboard's velocity response to one particular velocity (example : min 60 max 60) you'll hear how all keys are matched so perfectly, there's nothing jumpy and out of place in any of the 88 keys. even the sustain and releases are fairly matched which is very hard to achieve on an acoustic piano let alone a sampled one.

03 unending and eternal sustain resonances :

i always love it when you can drown the piano inside its own resonances while playing and with this series that's exactly what i do, if you max out the resonances even one note has the most pleasant ringing to it that i've ever heard on a digitized piano, chords sound like a calm ocean in the summer, i just love that, and the fact that even high ranges are so resonant is a banger cause most of the market doesn't have that.

04 editing features :

what do i need to say? it bleeds into the modeling realm, you can do everything to the signal without even leaving the interface.

and so on and so on…

i just wanted to ask GI/NI to do it, resample all the same pianos with the latest technologies, but give us more this time, more samples per key, more pedals (sampled una corda and such), the same great resonance engine, more release samples with staccato releases, more mics, more velocity and per note editing …. etc etc

i wish you'd do it.
