MIDI Mappings from a A49 Keyboard in KONTAKT PLAYER 8

Hi,

I'm a total newbie. I have an A49 Keyboard. If I use KONTAKT 8 PLAYER standalone, I can connect the keyboard and the keys work, but none of the control knobs are mapped.

If I load the KONTAKT 8 PLAYER Player from with KOMPLETE KONTROL, I only get a very limited "demo mode" of the instrument.

How do I get these playing nicely together? Have tried lots of re-installs and plug-in rescans etc.

The A/M keyboards don't have integration with Kontakt directly, just through Komplete Kontrol. What do you mean by "limited demo mode" ?

Thanks so much for your answer.

I think part of the problem is that I'm clciking around Komplete Kontrol as if I've never used a computer before. I'm not finding it an intuative interface but I'm sure that will change.

My mission is to be able to use the Chords Tool with a Piano Uno Instrument. Super easy to do in Kontakt 8 but the controls nobs are not mapped. So I try in in Komplete Kontrol…

    1. I launch Komplete Kontrol
    2. I Add VST3\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8 into the plug in chain. At this point I can only see a limited number fo intstruments and no tools in the library area, so I…
    3. …close the browsing area by hitting x next to the search bar line. I can now see Piano Uno - which wasn't present before I hit close, along with Chords, Leaps etc. This seems odd.
    4. I load Piano Uno - which loads with the word DEMO in red above the instument. This works and the keys are mapped. I know want to load Chords but….
    5. …when I go back to the library I only see the initial limited number of instruments and no tools, or leaps etc. The only way I can get back to the complete list is to change to a different VST and then back to Kontakt 8 and start again. So no way to load and instrument and chords at the same time.

    Something doesn't seem right here!
