Has Kontrol Mk3 just lost the "Tap Tempo" capability?

I used to use the Shift/Metro option to tap out a tempo when starting a piece. But now in v1.9.4, that key combination seems to allow me to dial in a tempo numerically instead, rather than how I "feel" it. And that tempo appears to be purely local, with no connection to the DAW (Studio One) tempo.

Has the Tap Tempo capability been removed? Or has it moved somewhere else? And is tempo now broken for DAW use?

You can still tap the tempo by continuing to press SHIFT+METRO button when the window shows up. It works exactly the same as it used to, you just need to close the window when you're done tapping. We're currently working on some improvements for tempo sync for the next update.

    Hello,

this is cause of the new build in arpeggiator, native could have implemented it with send tempo from DAW over midi to the keyboard but they have not. If you select a track with kk loaded, tempo syncs to the DAW as far as I know. Maybe if you select a track with kk and set the keyboard to use kk arp it might still work but that's just I guess, I would have to try it.

    Thank you. That worked.

My mistake was that I was looking at the big tempo value on my Kontrol - not the (much smaller) value in the DAW. And as you point out, they are not synced in the current version.

They sync up if you just once select an instance of komplete kontrol.
