Kontakt 8 not recognized by Mainstage after latest Kontakt update

After updating to Kontakt 8.3, I started MainStage (3.7.1) to work on a project. I received a message something about MainStage could not recognize or validate Kontakt, but unfortunately I clicked it away before taking a screenshot. Now, when I try to open a project with a Kontakt 8 instrument, I see a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it over the Kontakt 8 Instrument slot. (See screenshot.) Is there a procedure to fix this?

Yes, Kontakt 8 can be opened in stand-alone mode without issues. Kontakt 7 (still installed) works fine in MainStage.

Yes, Kontakt 8 worked in MainStage 3.7.1 prior to the 8.3 update.

Additionally, when I click in the right side of the instrument panel to select the instrument, I can navigate to AU Instruments » Native Instruments and Kontakt 7 is present, but Kontakt 8 is not.

Thank you!

    Hello,

I'm not a Mac/mainstage user but doesn't have this program some plugin manager or something like that where you can maybe find some more info or rescan the plugins. It could be a validation issue, if I remember correctly there was something a few years back but I don't know how to fix that.

Though you didn't directly know the answer, you successfully pointed me in the right direction! I rescanned my plugins and the results said Kontakt 8 crashed the validation. I rescanned and it fixed the issue. Thanks!
