Naming/typing on Kontrol Mk3

When naming a parameter/template on Kontrol Mk3, the UI is pretty well done in the way that we type on the keyboard. However, there is no way to locate back to a previous letter space to just change one letter or word, atleast as far as I can tell.
Why not utilize the Shift button here? I could easily see a way where you could hold shift and use the 4D encoder to find your place within the title editor.
