Hello all - sorry if this has been covered but I cannot find anything or YouTube videos and I may be stupid but thats another discussion
Software and hardware as follows
MacBook Pro - Sequoia OS

Software
Komplete Kontrol 3.4
Kontakt 5,6,7,8
KOMPLETE 14 COLLECTORS EDITION
Cubase 14 Pro - with HalionSonic and other 3rd party DAWS

HW
Maschine MK3
Kontrol S61MK11
Kontrol S88 MKIII

Questions

  1. How do I create a template in Komplete Kontrol software as the midi Icon is non existent or missing based on all the guides and YouTubes I have watched
  2. How do I create a light Guide for a 3rd Party Instrument on my Kontrol S61MK11 or Kontrol S88 MKIII for as an example a CuBase HalionSonic Instrument which I have loaded into KK and on the screen it shows the light guide for different voices but physical Keyboards light guides are a solid color Kontrol S61MK11 or Kontrol S88 MKIII (Olympus Elements as per the ScreenShot attached)
    If its via a Template I am happy to configure it - just need help finding how to on the software

    Ok I found the answer to question 1 - quite disappointed but we move on will try doing it on the keyboard instead - complaining is counterintuitive - adapt is my motto

    Q2 you can't.

    I have a full library for Halion Sonic where you can browse and load the presets and all the controls are pre-mapped:

    however the lightguide can only be controlled direct from the plugin so the developer has to code in the lightguide info. The only other way is to make a MIDI template with keyzones that have the light colour but this is a pain and you have to manually switch it for the plugin/preset you created it for.

    It has been asked to have some kind of user accessible way to set lightguide for a NKS preset, not sure it is possible or will ever be possible, the lightguide is so underutilised outside NIs own instruments.
