Compatibility of Kontakt with past versions

I am an amateur. I try to write music for myself. I mostly try to use Kontakt. (I never managed to get much of it). I have upgraded to version 7. I also installed Kontakt player. It was not easy to me to learn the basics of how to use version 6 and then I find out that the GUI of ver 7 has changed!! I feel so tired to try to write down my music ideas and been stalled by the operating rules, I mean the changed way of using it. I think that all versions of Kontakt, as well as all other products should maintain about the same way of using, the same interface, and be backwards compatible, so I don't have to keep previous versions of the software and have to remember the differences of use among several versions!!! Am I right? Did I understand something wrong? English are no my mother language, sorry for mistakes. I wrote some music with Kontakt 6, and I have to have version 6 installed to re-process older work? Or I have to insert the ver 7, then remove ver 6, and redefine the instruments of ver 7? I run out of disk space, so I moved to a bigger pc. Even my old cpu was not compatible with some parts o Komplete.

I see that software makers like to change the GUI in every version (windows do it to much!) This makes me tired. I don't like it. I'd like to know your opinion.
