Light guide not matching pressed Keys // S88 MK2

Hello there,
I got an annoying problem, which occured almost permanently.
When in KK mode, the lit LED (when pressing a key) is one step to the left.
As I said : almost permanently.
Anyone with a solid working solution, I don't have to follow each time, I start my systems ??

Are you running through a DAW to KK?
If so, it's possible that you could have a -1 transpose on the track in your DAW, and so, KK is responding to that note number.

No, IT is on KK..
So, if I got to the midi settings (in KK for the S88 MK2), and just click on "Keys" , then leave the midi settings, it works normal.
The problem occures only at the startup of KK.
Well, it's not a big deal to do that, but still annoying.

@Andreas Schuhmacher Could it be a scale setting? How does it lok like in this section?
Did you contact support already? Would it be possib le for you to make a video of the issue?

well, no.
It seems, that it has nothing to do with scale or any other settings.
For me it looks like, that the communication between my S88 MK2 and KK isn't proper, for I did not have only that issue.
but ,I could sort out all the other problems, like no communication between the S88 and KK at all ( restart of the whole system was nessessary).
Even stopping the tasks and restarting them didn't do the trick.
well, exactly that suddenly the problem came, it left..without doing anything from my side.. Sort of spooky.
but, back to that key guide problem.
I have this "problem" right from the beginning (when I bought it..new, by the way).
I just can't explain to myself, why it is enough just to click on "keys" in the midi settings of KK to get it work the right way.
as I said, it's it not THAT big deal, but annoying , especially, when I am sitting in front of the Keyboard and change programs from time to time.
The support told me the most common stuff, but, I'm not an idiot, so I KNOW, how to connect and set up my system properly.
No further Infos or helpful hints from NI.
Well, maybe I just have to live with it, or sell it and buy a MK3..
Anyway…I want to say thanks and will wait a little longer.
maybe someone else had or has that prob too.

P.S.: Sorry for not making a video. Everything I could record would be pressing a key, with the light above it not lit, but the one to the left.
Then going to the midi settings in the right upper corner in KK to get access to the S88's midi setup, and click on the folder "keys".
nothing else..no adjustments or else.
just leaving the settings and it works how it is meant to.

What is your exact OS version ? and what is your Komplete Kontrol app version ?
Have you tried uninstalling and completely removing the present version of Komplete Kontrol app and tried to install another version ? Have you ever tried uninstalling drivers , hardware service , host integration service, accessibilityHelper and reinstall it all and maybe even tried using another (type of) USB port ?
All I suggest may appear completely unrelated , on the other hand then if there is a communication issue or an issue with the Komplete Kontrol then it could maybe create a change (?)
On the other hand then with the experiences that you have already had then maybe better to just leave it all alone until it annoys you enough , I mean we wouldn't want any mishaps to occur. Best way to avoid that is to use insurance in the shape of drive image based backup of system drive in the state that you want to preserve.

I can't find any request from you regarding this issue in our system. A video would help us to show it to devs or colleagues. Have you tried the keyboard on another computer, is this behaviour the same?

The system, every ( soft- and hardware ) component and everything related to it, was completely uninstalled, reinstalled, every driver is up to date, and.. the system wiped and "clean" .
To make that clear : I DO know, how a computer works and I build my systems for over 30 years now, so : No, there is nothing related to the drivers, installing or so.
The standards of sorting out issues with soft and hardware are familiar to me.
What I wanted to say with " annoying, but not a BIG deal" is : It eats up my time, uninstalling, reinstalling, wiping and so on, just for 2 clicks more, I have to make...
And thanks for the best wishes to get "that annoyed" to feel forced to change it.

I used to live in Berlin and had a personal contact.
This is years ago and what I got told is all the stuff with installing, reinstalling etc.
The person who made that support could simply not get the problem, other then it has to be a installing issue.
Well, it is late at the moment, but I will do that video tomorrow, if you think it helps.
Maybe, there is a way for a pm for that ?
For I want to close that public thread, at least for my part.

Hi Jeremy,
I've tried to upload that video, but it does not fit in 35 Seconds, which is the maximum I could upload here.
I tried to contact the support and, hopefully, they will get back, for I don't know, if the upload of the video did work (I doubt that).
Well.. support should be a lot easier, for people do get annoyed simply by the fact that they have to "fight" the supporting system with KI and so on too.
Nothing you can change, but still a fact.
We will see, what happens.
