Kontakt keeps crashing on startup Windows 10 (Standalone and VST)

I recently started experiencing an issue with my Kontakt 6 Full installation, it crashes instantly on startup, whether in standalone mode or as a VST.

I all started when changing the ASIO device on day, and suddenly it crashed. Strangely, it never worked again after that. I’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and even formatting my PC, but nothing has fixed the issue.

I recall reading somewhere that the DirectX version might be a factor, but according to dxdiag, mine is up to DirectX 12. Other than that, my system is completely stock, I haven’t changed anything.

All I have is the .nicrash file attached below. What should I do? Am I missing something?

EDIT: Kontakt 7 Player seems to work fine BTW. It only crashes with Kontakt 6. And I need to get 6 working because it's the Full version😥

You will need to provide more detail. What OS version (yes I know it is Win 10 - but there are 15+ versions of Win 10). Audio interface and it's ASIO driver? Your DAW?

And formatting the entire PC would completely wipe the entire machine - if it still does not work after all that - there could be a hardware conflict or something depper.

Would also need to see a screencap of the crash.

Sorry for being so vage, I was on 20H2 at the time, fully format, standalone version, no audio interface connected, no devices at all

About the crash image, it said something like "Kontakt has found a major problem and has been terminated, see crashlog, etc etc", right at the startup.

I don't know how, but I got it working again: I just reinstalled Kontakt 7😵 How is it possible? Never seen this before, maybe some dependencies missing? I think we'll never know.

I'll leave this "fix" here in case someone needs it (highly doubt that😄), but thanks anyway!

    Thanks the update.

You should consider getting Win 10 to 22H2 as soon as you can.

You might already be missing products in Native Access and it will just get worse as time goes by.
