    Hello,

have you switched the input on the focusrite to instrument mode? And many presets have heavy gaining involved so a very quiet sound get amplified a lot, you can use the gate on top of gr7 input to filter out low volume stuff, so it does not get amplified if you don't play a note. You have a gate button next to the input level fader and right from it you can set the gate, start with - 20 might be a good start if the gain (triangle under the input meter) is set correctly. There is also a grey sign right from the gate button, if you press it, it sets the gate automatically.

Please don't open a new thread for the same question, just ask again in the same thread next time. I merged the two threads and we can go on here. If you use direct monitoring with the focusrite interface do you hear also the noise, what does the meter from the focusrite interface shows for the input level if you mute/hold the sttings.
