NI Instrument content can't be found Monterey 12.7.6 - Logic 10.7.9 - Kontact 8

Since updating to Kontakt 8 various instrument content can't be located from previous sessions. After searching for the content and locating it, I find it grayed out and it cannot be selected. The Kontakt 8 was free upgrade from Kontakt 7 in my Pro Tools Bundle.

I went round and round with NI support and they could not help. I think its a bug that they will not mention publicly.

Does anyone else have this issue? Thanks!

Support should know that Kontakt 8 is not supported under Monterey.

It requires Mac OS 13 (or higher).

And I can almost bet that Kontakt 8 does not work with Logic 10 either

That is probably the crux of these issues.

Since Kontakt 8 seems to be the issue, may be revert to kontakt 7? I personally have both running. And if you hardware can handle it, I recommend updating the Mac OS to a more recent version.
