S61 MK 2- How to send midi keyboard data channels other than 1 in Logic Pro?

I’m having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to simply get my s61 mk 2 to

1. Switch to a different midi channel

2. send keybed midi data to any channel other than 1 in Logic.

For every other midi keyboard in my studio, it’s as simple as assigning the input midi channel on a logic instrument track’s channel strip and then switching to that midi channel on the physical keyboard.

I tried creating a template in KK where the 8 buttons are assigned to do program changes of midi channels 1-8 but it does nothing in logic. The template is loaded in my s61 but its not sending the keybed midi data to the other midi channels.

Ive been digging for hours and im sbout ready to buy a different keyboard. Hoping someone can help me

Hey Sean, unfortunately the only way to change the MIDI channel of the keyboard is to create a new template in the Komplete Kontrol standalone application. Only one template can be loaded in the keyboard when in MIDI mode, so it makes it very impractical for the way you want to use it. I doubt this will change in the future. Sorry to bring the bad news.
