Error "failed to install upgrade" of kontakt 8 and Absynth 5

Hey. I'm trying to upgrade kontakt 8 and Absynth 5 via native access on windows 10.

1- it gives me the error "installationfailed". It offers me to reinstall it.

2- Native Access says that the installation was completed, but the program does not appear in my library and the "Upgrade" button reappears (While the program says that the installation was successful).

the worst is that Native Access uninstalled kontakt 8 and Absynth 5 during the upgrade and did not reinstall them. So, I no longer have kontakt 8 and Absynth 5. They are no longer in my "VST3" folderand I can't reinstall them.

Do you have a solution to this problem or can you give me a link where I can download kontakt 8 and Absynth 5 so that I can install them manually?

Thanks in advance for your answers,

Vincent

The post is a bit disjoined.

Firstly Native does not uninstall products by itself.

And I am mystified by the “upgrade” to Absynth - which has been retired since 2022. There is no concept of any upgrade on that one. And there is no VST3 for Absynth either.

Please give us some screencaps or anything that can make understanding this a bit easier.

Looks good. I would take one at a time. Very odd to see “update” next to Absynth but maybe just do that one first.

Let us know what happens or if you see any error message - screen cap it.

What do you see under Preferences-File Locations?

I believe that the last update to Native Access removed the ability to install VST2 plugins (which Absynth is)

This is really the last VST2 that anyone might want to install. Everything else is VST3 now

I think the best plan for you now is to engage NI Support and have them look into this. It is getting a bit too involved now to continue on the forums.

    Hi Vocalpoint,

    Thank you for your response,

Actually, I made a small mistake. The Absynth5.dll file disappeared from my VST2 folder not VST3.

I'm attaching the screenshot of Native Access.

If I understood the question correctly, here is the screenshot. I speak very bad English. Sorry.

Here are 2 examples of localization.

one for Komplete Kontrol and the other for Absynth5 and Kontakt 8.

For Absynth and Kontakt I can't enter a localization.

    Thanks for your help VP.

The problem that arises for Absynth5, also arises for Kontakt 8.I find myself with a sound library that I can no longer use because the last update cleared Kontakt and Absynth.

I am already waiting for a reply from NI for Kontakt.
