Prime Bass and other Bass/Guitar libraries MIDI CC assignment

How come recent guitar and bass libraries like Prime Bass, Icon Bass, Electric Mint, etc. have remapped volume to midi cc 38 instead of 7? Also pan and expression don't seem to be mapped. I know I can override the assignments with my own choice. But why aren't these on and mapped to standard CC numbers by default?
