Session strings pro 2 not reacting to drawn in cc data in Logic

I can't seem to get session strings pro to react to drawn in modulation or expression automation in logic pro. None of the cc respond. Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks in advance for any help.

Are modulation and expression from a keyboard working?

Maybe it's a question of what MIDI channel is the Logic track set to? Maybe this article would help then: Configuring your MIDI Keyboard / Controller in Kontakt

    Hey, Docbradt, Danny here.

    This might solve your problem:

Inside Session Strings, look for the little cogwheel, far down on the left. In the middle, under Dynamic Control, either set Modwheel or any other CC-Control to change the dynamics.

By default it is set to Velocity, which works best for short articulations, but imho is unusable for controlled realistic swells for long ones. Sadly, this setting is global, no way to set up Velocity for Shorts vs CC-controlled for sustained articulations.

Other Libraries offer this option, sadly SS2 Pro doesn't.

Best to use 2 instances here, one loaded with only short articulations, controlled via velocity, and one only with long articulations, controlled by continuous controllers.

For this, under the main tab, set mode to Keyswitch, you'll be able to load the articulations of your choice (up to 9), selectable via the defined keyswitches now.

Save as a new preset, so in the future you won't have to do it all again.

    This should solve your issues.

Hope I could be of help.

    All the best, Danny.
