Session String Pro does not switch animator saved user presets on keys C0-A0

I'm running in Kontakt7 on Windows 11 and Cubase PRO 11. I've purchased Session Strings Pro some years ago and used it on string phrases played midi with articulations. Yet this afternoon I've tried the animator for the first time, and I browsed the User Manual to get if I can change animator presets realtime. The manual writes that at p. 32: once you have saved your user presets in the available slots 1-10, you can access them in the keys C0-A0 (playing area is C2 and above). But this does not work! I've also tried C-1, then C1 - sometimes octaves are called differently between plugins and DAW: but I could not manage to work. Where am I wrong?

I've seen another discussion some months ago (2024), with the same issue by another user and with "so called" answers that suggest to click in the GUI, but that is not an answer since it is not available realtime. That discussion is now closed so I cannot link my one to that, I had to start a new discussion. Any help appreciated.
