Unable to edit instrument
I have Komplete 15 Standard and am going through the Kontakt 8 User Guide and I am trying out steps mentioned In Chapter 9. Classic View > Loading and Creating Instruments > Instrument Banks.
I created a new Instrument Bank and in the configuration section (that opens after clicking the wrench icon) I have added a couple of instruments. Now I am trying to edit the instrument (by double clicking on the slot) as described in the next steps, however I am getting the message: "This instrument is locked and cannot be edited!"
I came across this (https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/14974/why-are-many-instruments-not-editable-even-in-the-full-version-of-kontakt-7) post where someone was trying to do the same with the Kontakt Factory Library 2 and the reason stated was that at that time "the user interface for that is not public yet".
I am still not able to edit any instrument from the Kontakt Factory Library 2. Moreover, I have tried a couple of other instruments (listed below) and they are not editable as well.
- Attraktor Kit
- The Giant - Conematic
- Drum Lab
- Bouquet
- Garage Kit - Full
- Session Horns - Performance
- Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass
- The Maverick
- The Gentleman
Can someone let me know why no other instrument is editable ? Does this have to do with the Standard Edition of Komplete ?

Quick update: I watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybB0XytfjAE) where the gentleman is explaining how to create an instrument bank and he drags an nki file from his file browser on the slot (instead of dragging from the side pane).
I tried that and that seemed to have kicked something into place because now I am able to open the edit view - for a bunch of instruments - by double clicking the slot. It works even after restarting the DAW, so there seems to be something that gets cached/learned once you do it through the file system. i.e. this might be a bug in the Side-Pane.
That said, there are still instruments other than the KFL2 that are still not editable e.g. Upright Bass, Boquet, etc. It would be good to know if making them editable is on the road-map as well.
