Question about existing Kontakt7 template with Kontakt8

Hi there,
I spent weeks, creating thousands of tracks of instruments in Cubase with Kontkat 7, but, I just bought Kontakt 8.
My question is, if I uninstall Kontakt 7, so there is ONLY Kontakt 8 installed on this machine, will those instruments automatically open as Kontakt 8 instruments?
I'm hoping not to have to re-build everything I spend weeks doing again in Kontakt 8. Thanks,
