Traktor Crash in Pro 3 and 4

Hello

I was using Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6 with an M1 MacBook, Traktor Pro 3 and an S4 Mk3 at a gig last weekend.

After playing for about 1 hour, all sound from the live deck stopped. The wave form kept moving but it looked blurred and fuzzy.

I had to force-quit Traktor and restart my MacBook to get going again. The same thing happened an hour or so later.

I've since updated my OS to Sonoma 14.7.2 and paid for the upgrade to Traktor Pro 4.

Last night, after about 2 hours of play, exactly the same crash happened again. After a force-quit and restart, the track that was playing when it crashed played from beginning to end without incident, so I assume it's not a corrupt file.

I've been using Traktor Pro 2 and 3 daily for nearly 10 years and I've never encountered a crash before.

I've tried to raise a support request with Native Instruments by email but this service doesn't appear to be available anymore and the AI chatbot was useless.

Three questions:

1) Why this is happening?

2) What can I do about it?

3) How can I access meaningful support from Native Instruments?

Thanks in advance.

Paul

    Hi.

Unfortunately this issue has been around for a fairly long time. Just search for "blurry"...

The oldest and the one with the most input was this:

    https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/15976/traktor-3-9-is-almost-crashing-no-sound-blurry-waveforms/p1

Unfortunately NI have shown no interest in getting to the bottom of this, or addressing this, so it's been around ever since, but admittedly somewhat random where/when it strikes...

    c.

Ps. Also NI, what s with all the old posts now stating "content removed"... What gives ?

I'm amazed NI aren't sorting it. With no fix and risk of a crash at any moment, how can anyone contemplate a gig like that? If NI won't do the work, moving to Rekordox or Serato is the only option available to me. Are they really not bothered?
