Total mess caused by Native Instruments
Native Instr; you have upgraded some instruments from Kontakt 6 to Kontakt 7 without asking permission. I have tried to install/downgrade the instruments, following your prescription, but it doesn't work; one instrument claims to be in Demo mode, although I have bought it, the others are malfunctioning. I tried to downgrade by installing to the original path. It seemed to work right after installation, but after a few days the instruments were missing from the library again. (I use Sibelius notation software)
N.I. : You have caused this mess, you should be able to fix this yourself, completely, via Native Access. I have spent hours with this, and give up now. We, your customers, should not have to clean up this mess.

I use Sibelius, and it only supports VST2. This means I can only use Kontakt 6, which is fine with me.
The problems start when Native updates my Kontakt 6 (VST2) instruments to Kontakt 7 or higher.
Anyone who knows what can be done with this? And how do I avoid this happening for the future?

Alas then the N.A. is not intelligent enough to not upgrade peoples software if their setup can not handle it.
As for your problem then I imagine that you have to go through more trouble shooting steps.
First then you might want to uninstall the libraries that gives you problems and then re-install the libraries from the Previous versions of recently updated Kontakt libraries / compatibility withK6 older libraries
And if using Komplete kontrol then also Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 - is the Last VST2 supported version
Other than that then you might have to reinitialize the KONTAKT Database
Generally then you are supposed to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS but make sure to not update the libraries or apps to that which is not compatible with your setup.

Thanks a lot!
OK, if it's safe to uninstall and then reinstall, I'll try that.
Great!

Re-installation of Electric Sunburst worked, it seems.
Not so well with Electric Mint: What do you do when you get an error message saying that E. Mint cannot be installed since it has not yet been installed?

Most likely the you just need to uninstall the library and then run the NI reg tool to remove any remnants of the library and then try re-installing the Previous versions of recently updated Kontakt libraries / compatibility withK6 older libraries
Else , if the problem persists then please contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support .
