Stems im S4 MK3 - any chance to control it by knobs?

I have a Traktor S4 MK3.

I would like to ask if, once the Stem files have been created, is there some configuration that can be done to control the stem volumes through knobs separately, in other words, lowering or raising the voice, lowering or raising the bass, etc separately.

This can be done on the computer screen, but I would like to do it on the controller.

Greetings to everyone.

Stem Volume and Filter can be controlled by PAD + Encoder combo same as Remix Decks. Other way involves a mapping modifier that toggles between two modes EQ and Stems same as what Z1 Mk2 does.

    Thank you

Encoders are the ones that turn all the way round with little jumps. Knobs are the smooth ones which don't go all the way around.

When they say pad+encoder: put the pads in stem mode. Hold the stem pad you want to control, then turn the move encoder.

However, sounds more like you want to control with the knobs: either the FX unit knobs at the top, or the EQ knobs in the middle (a popular method is using the deck C/D EQs if you're not using those decks).

Here's a mapping I made to use deck C&D EQ (and mixer FX) as the stem controls for decks A&B. https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/16212/mapping-s4-mk3-use-deck-c-d-top-fx-units-as-stem-controls-for-deck-a-b

It also takes over the FX units at the top to let you use filter on each stem individually: if you don't want that, either remove those parts of the mapping, or find another one, look in the mapping section, or https://maps.djtechtools.com/

Alternatively, you could look at some of the screenmods posted on the forum. They change more of how the controller works, and I think some of them do more stem control.

    Hello red_nick

Thank you for your response and advice.
Could you tell me where I should put the mapping files you made available?
Once again, accept my thanks. Best regards JPSA

Wherever you want, then open Traktor Settings > Controller Manager > add > import from disk.
