DAW Integration Not Working (Mac Sonoma; ProTools 2024.3.1; Komplete Kontrol S61 MK3)

Hello!

I'm brand new here - hope you're all well.

I just unpacked my S61 and tried to connect it with my protools; I was dismayed to find that the 'transport' buttons don't work (i.e. play, rec, stop, etc.). Plus even though I've mapped the device in my DAW, it sends me this message (attached) every time I open the application.

Any idea on how to get thee FULL functionality from the S61?

Gratefully,

Zach

I see that issue was fixed by deleting the Pro Tools preferences. I'll put it here so it can help other users.

Please write down any needed user setting of yours  in Pro Tools, make a copy of that file before hand, then delete it:

    Macintosh HD/Users/user name/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools/Pro Tools Prefs

Note: the User Library folder is hidden. To access it, click on Go in the menu bar and press down the Alt key. You'll now find the Library entry in the menu:

Thanks Bear - I've got at M2 running 14.5 - looks like someone with a similar setup is having the same issue. they posted on 1/20.

Hey Jeremy - thanks. New to the community - maybe 'mapping' is the wrong word. The image attached is what I'm talking about. Under the 'midi controllers' section of the 'peripherals' dialogue box I assigned the correct 'type' 'receive' 'send' and 'channels'. So I don't think this is the issue as to why the transport controls aren't working.

I included screenshots above that indicate what message I'm getting from ProTools

For what it's worth, these people are having the same issue:

Your screenshot does not show what it should. Please refer to this article: How to Set Up a Kontrol Keyboard with Your DAW

    It should look like this:

I've seen some of the other posts and I also got back to you in one of these posts, have you tried the steps? Let's continuue there, ok? It will be simpler.

great - thanks Jeremy - I'm writing to you in the other thread. Sadly, as you'll see in the video there - I don't have any options to change the way the screen shot of the Peripherals dialogue box looks. The drop downs in the Midi Controllers don't afford any choice - they're locked on that 'DAW' choice.

I'm trying your other suggestions now regarding deleting the users settings - finger crossed
