No Audio output when I ignored a file.

Good evening,

Last night I had to perform at a party, everything I needed for the set iv'e put into a project. Group A,till H where used.

The moment I turn on the maschine I got the notification: "SampleName.wav could not be found", so I pressed ignore and from that moment I couldn't play any samples from group C till Group H, because there was no audio. Group A&B worked fine. So I restart my maschine, and suddenly I have no audio output at all. Not even when I tried to play samples from Group A and B. The lights of my pad still were lighting up, I saw that the samples where being played, only there wasn't any audio..

I then tried to open a project from a set I did a few months ago and those samples had audio.

So when I got home the next day, I immediatly checked the project, I get the same notification about the missing sample, I press ignore like I did when I was playing my liveset, and everything worked fine? all the groups were working, I had audio except for the ignored file ofcourse, but everything else worked. so I tested if it would make a difference if I pressed Ignore file or Ignore All but apparently that doesn't make a difference.. It randomly decides if it's working or not.

The Maschine+ was in standalone mode the whole time.

Anyone else had this issue before or someone knows how to fix this or what could be the problem??

oh and I don't know if it's relevant or not but when I was doing the live set I had the audio being of the Maschine+, a drum machine(Roland) and a synthesizer send to a mixer and then from the mixer to the speakers.

when I checked at home it was checked with my headphones and also the audio output from maschine itself.

Thank you in advanced!

    Hello,

I only respond because i see your post for days, without an answer, so i don't want you to feel ignored.

Unfortunately, i don't have a Maschine Plus and i can not help you. Maybe @LostInFoundation can.

Still, contacting NI Support is always the best choice. Please use this link:

Let me study the case (it doesn’t seem so straightforward to nail down).

The correlation between ignoring a missing file and no audio coming out of Maschine+ at all (or even worst, first time having 2 groups working while other not and second time nothing working) is not so easily understandable.

And the fact that same steps tested the day after didn’t lead to same results (you say that audio was working this time) makes it even more an headache…

First questions that comes to mind: what are groups C to H containing? Different samples (or even other things, like virtual instruments) or slices all coming from that “SampleName.wav”?

What’s the difference between groups A and B and the other groups?

When you say “I saw that the samples where being played, only there wasn't any audio.” what do you mean? That you can see the waveform (in the Sample tab) and the scrolling lane indicating the position moving? Or that you see the Maschine meters moving when you push them?

If the notification of a missing sample still appeared the day after in your tests at home, have you tried to reload that sample? And if yes, what happens?
