Hi, I have a weird problem using Kontakt 6 which I can figure out... Some notes are dead or mute, and the bottom line says '' script warning (line:2863, script 8)...''.
What is the cause of this?
Thanks in advance.
Did exactly what you wrote and you are correct - some keys are NOT mapped out with sound. This is so disappointing.
I'm only using Kontakt 6 via Guitar MIDI 2. I want to play on the entire guitar neck, and not be limited in my rang of motion due to some keys not mapped out with sound.
Since this is a third Party Library, you would need to contact Big Fish Audio. It appears there is a script error and only they can resolve that error...
When I was using the factory library there was no script error, but it was the same issue as far as dead notes.
which instrument? I can test it out here... a specific example of which notes are "dead" would also be helpful!
also, do you have "Show Mapping and Keyswitches" turned on in Preferences -> Interface -> Show Mapping and Keyswitches on Keyboard. I mention because I don't see any colored keys in your screenshot which indicate if there is actually a sound mapped to the key or not...

I'm only using Kontakt 6 as a plugin via Guitar MIDI 2. I wanted to play the entire Guitar neck, and not be limited in my rang of motion due to some keys not mapped with sound.
This is a Best Service library, not Big Fish Audio. :)
Good old Googles top result was “Big Fish EW6” can’t even trust the search engines anymore!🤪
Most libraries are designed to allow only playing the "Actual" range of the instrument for the sake of "Realisticness" (OK, I made up a word), so disappointing, maybe, but true to the actual instrument!
Did exectly what you wrote and you are correct - some keys are NOT mapped out with sound. This is so disappointing.
