DAW option not available (yet again) in Studio Set up in Cubase13Pro?

Hi

This is not the first time this has been an issue with me, and I thought I knew almost everything about the NIHostIntegrationAgent (I had to tutn it on manually for a period) which was the main culprit before.

I have uninstalled KK and everything associated with it (i.e. drivers and Bome). and reinstalled it without making any difference. Yes, I do have AVG things installed but over the years, I have not found that removing them has made any difference. I also did a System Restore, but that did not help.

With my new job as a 24hr carer haunting my life, I don't have hours to waste trying this and trying that. I fear the issue could be related to a Window 11 update. I can still use the S88 as a midi keyboard but the transport options are eluding me once again.

I am aware that this probem has been around for many NI users for years, and I'm delighted to say that when it all works, it is great - and then it doesn't.

Any fresh ideas?

    Is this on Windows? Or Mac? And what version?

    What keyboard controller are you using…mk2 or mk3? Or "other"?

    What version of KK? And if you load KK stansdalone, is it the same version as the one that gets loaded from Cubase's VST library concatenation?

    What version of Native Access?

    Can you describe the path you're trying to route to/from KK in Cubase?

    For example, MIDI? Or Instrument track? And how is KK loaded on your system?

    How does it show up in Cubase's connections/mediabay, whatever?

    What build of Cubase Pro 13 are you using? Not that I think this matters…but if I decide to do some testing here, it'd be good to know if my install is different from yours.

    Many thanks for your response. I hope that my answers might help, but I have wasted many hours today uninstalling and reinstalling Komplete Kontrol, the drivers and the Bome prog. - also I have carried out several System File Checker procedures that confirm that all is well. However, the DAW option in the Cubase Studio Set Up still does not appear. Also, the Bome prog. is greyed out in the Device Manager which indicates that the S88 is not connected - when it is. Of course, I have scanned the internet and various Forums and found that it is a very common issue that affects Mac users also, and a variety of different DAWs. The suggestions which include reinstalling various progs. sometimes works for some. I understand that the NIHostIntegrationAgent (in Services) is particulary important and that it loads on PC startup. There is no suggestion that it not is functioning as it should.

    I think that the Bome prog. could be responsible, but I don't know what to try next.

    I'm on Windows 11.

    My keyboard is the S88 Mk2

    The version of KK is 3.3.4 (I tried reinstalling the V2 but it didn't make any difference). Yes, the stand alone one is the same.

    The Native Access is V. 3.16

    In order to get the transport control to function on the S88, I need to get the DAW options in Cubase's Studio/Studio Set Up. These do not appear so I am forced to use the Komplete Kontrol on the MIDI out and in boxes. ie. I can use the keyboard as a MIDI in/out only and also access my voices.

    In Cubase, the lack of DAW options are missing nomatter which type of track I am accessing.

    KK is loaded on my system via the Native Access, and I have also tried to redoing the installatiions on a clean system. ie uninstalling the eariler copies first.

    I have been usind Cubase 13 Pro (the latest v.), but I upgraded today to 14, but it was just the same.

    I think that's about it!
