Is there really NO way of turning off the LEDS on a S61 MK2?
Hi all. Recently picked up a S61 MK2 (an upgrade from my Nektar Impact 49+) and it plays beautifully but it seems like there's no way of turning off the LED guide lights?
It's massively distracting and i've already resorted to putting a thin strip of electrical tape accross it although the lights are still poking out from below.
I did find one video online where you can add some script to each instrument you load up in Komplete Kontrol but even that has me a little stumped.
Running Logic Pro 11.0.1 / Mac Studio M2 Max 96gb / Sonoma 14.6.1.
Has anybody else found a workaround?
Cheers,
TG

No way (or workaround) that I know of. Your tape trick might be the only way.
Never really bothered me tho.

No, there is no such option (officially).
There are however, few unofficial (and unsupported!) workarounds.
Like this one:

…perhaps there are more if you search online.0 -
Yeah, if you can believe it the option WAS available on the MK1 keyboard to switch OFF the LEDs and was another of those removed features in the MK2 and still in the MK3 even after so many complained over the years, just falls on deaf ears like all user suggestions. The vid above is all fine, if you only use Kontakt as it only works when kontakt is loaded.
Sticking tape on it like it's some cheap casio keyboard is what is expected.
