when DAW starts in the middle of a MIDI note - HOW TO PREVENT KONTAK PLAYING THE SAMPLE?

I´m using Kontakt 7 and Cubase 12. when I start in the middle of a song, and a MIDI note (for example of a loud gong or a long note) reaches into that part, Kontakt reacts as if it´s the start of the note/sample. how could I switch this off?
I was using a very old Kontakt version (1) before, this wasn´t the case there, so I guess it´s a Kontakt (not Cubase) setting.

    There's an option in Cubase called 'chase', you need to disable this for notes, see here:
