Dear Native Instruments Support Team,

I am reaching out because I am facing the exact issue described in your article.. (I am not allowed to post the link).

However, I’m unable to resolve the problem as the provided Google Drive link for Native Access 3.2.3 is not working. Additionally, whenever I try to submit a support ticket, I receive an error message stating “please login,” even though I am already logged in.

This situation is incredibly frustrating—I just want to play my guitar with Guitar Rig, but instead, I’m stuck troubleshooting software issues.

Please provide a solution that actually works. Either:

  1. Grant me access to the Native Access 3.2.3 file through a functional link, OR
  2. Provide me with a proper Native Instruments license for Guitar Rig that works seamlessly on my Apple Silicon system.

I appreciate your assistance in resolving this as soon as possible.

Regards

Greg

If you go to the NI website - login to your user account and then head over to the NI Shop - because you are pre-logged in - you should be offered the GR7 upgrade pricing. (This is critical)

Purchase the upgrade - and the product ID/serial will automatically be added to your NI account.

And usually 5 or 10 minutes after that - the product will appear in NA - ready to install. Should be seamless.

    • If GR5 runs on M3, it would need Rosetta. There is only x86 version of GR5, not Apple Silicon one.

You probably need to upgrade to GR6 or even to GR7.

"You probably need to upgrade to GR6 or even to GR7."

This. GR5 is not supported under any M-class Mac here in 2025.

thanks a lot! Can I just Upgrade my GP5 to GP7, still when the GP5 License is not recognized in Native Access?

Thank you vocal point That should solve my problem. !Does anyone know if there’s a way to get a discount on GP7? I’m a bit surprised and confused that my GP5 software doesn’t work on my new M3 MacBook Pro. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! I couldn't write a message to the NI Service it always tells me to login first (but I am logged in).

"I’m a bit surprised and confused that my GP5 software doesn’t work on my new M3 MacBook Pro. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!"

Guidance: GR5 is from Sept 2011. Your new M3 Macbook Pro is presumably from 2024? (most likely running Sequoia?)

If you are a Mac user (knowing how fast that Apple retires their OS versions) - you should not be surprised (or confused) whatsoever in how third party products (like GR5) become outdated - quickly.

See here for "last compatible Mac OS" for GR5:

Compatibility of Native Instruments Products on macOS – Native Instruments

In your case - you would need to be running this:

To have any reasonable experience with GR5.

As soon as Apple retires support for a specific OS - so do all vendors (generally).

MacOS 10.15 was retired by Apple in Nov 2022.

And soon as NI released GR6 (October 2020) - GR5 was retired by NI. That means no support, no testing and no way to purchase it any longer.

If you are on a new MB Pro M3 in 2025 - and want to rock out with Guitar Rig - you need to be on GR7 (Ideally)
