Komplete Kontrol 3.3.4 does not find u-he Hive 2 and Waldorf incomplete
Hello,
my Komplete Kontrol version 3.3.4 does not show me the u-he Hive 2. The PPG is also missing under Waldorf...but the attack is displayed. I have already tried everything possible. Reinstalling Komplete Kontrol, reinstalling Hive, rescans, and this too:

Unfortunately u-he support has no more ideas either. It is displayed in the plug-ins, but not in the libraries. As mentioned, only one plug-in “Attack” from Waldorf is displayed. This can also be found in the factory directory. So how do I get the path into this factory directory? I have the same installation on a desktop computer...everything is running and all plugins are there. Only on the notebook it does not work.
What can I do?

"It is displayed in the plug-ins, but not in the libraries"
Where - exactly - did you install Hive? The default directory MUST be your Documents folder to my knowledge. I have Hive 2 here as well and it's all good on Win 10 and Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6
And what OS are you running?

Hello,
I have already tried this...to install under the suggested paths from u-he. But it didn't work either.0 -
Windows 11 24H2

Not for the factory NKS it isn't - that should be '/Library/Application Support/u-he/Hive/NKS/Hive' (on Mac not sure what it is on Windows but Documents would be for user content not factory)
Looks like that path was not added though - did you select to install NKS content in the installer?
You also need to install the previews from the u-he site

Yes, I did

Are you sure? Can you check where they are installed on the hard drive?

Yeah so it should have added the path in Library/factory. Can you see if they actually got installed on the hard drive?

Here is the path:

Any ideas?

I think everything is there:

Do I have to select “D:\PlugIn-Data\NI” as the installation path?

OK so the files are there but the path was not added, that is something the installer should have done. It may be possible to add it in the registry but I am a Mac user and the registry is a mystery to me. I do think this looks like more of a failure of the installer than a Komplete Kontrol issue though so I suggest chasing it up with u-he - they may even be able to help you add the path to the registry (or maybe someone here can send the registry key for Hive)
As for Waldorf, their current NKS do not work with the VST3 versions anyway - this has been a problem for years now and they keep bringing out new plugins but not fixing the old ones.

A workaround would be to add the Hive NKS path yourself to the User tab of Komplete Kontrol library/settings, it would mean they show on the user side but better than nothing and it might only need to be temporary

OK, I'll write to U-he then. But what surprises me...I also have a desktop computer. The same Win11 and the same Komplete Kontrol. It all works. Hive is there and Waldorf too...I don't understand it.
