Macbook Pro Max M4 does not work with komplete kontrol S61 MK1
My komplete kontrol S61 MK1 does not work with my Max M4. I tried everything. Installed Rosetta (open with Rosetta). I reached out to the support team. I performed the diagnosctic tool.
- I installed all the sofware on my main drive (did not work).
- I installed all the sofware on the external drive Samsung T9 (standard formatted and then formatted HFS+ Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and Apple File System (APFS) as recommended. It did not work.
- I reinstalled everything (twice)
The komplete kontrol software does not see the controller. It's all grey. I tried all kind of connections (direct with a USB-C hub. I have a thunderbolt 2 to 3 converter so I can have the 27 inch thunderbolt screen connected (also mot working while other equipment like my soundcard is working). Not working with Logic pro or as a standalone.
If I buy the MK3, will I have the same problem? Everything is working fine on my macbook pro from 2013!
Does anyone has experience with this? On the website they only support the M1 and M2. Please advice.

From the looks of things, you have installed the v3 of Komplete Control. This does not work with MK1 keyboards and has been mentioned a number of times here. Apple Silicon is compatible with v2 (2.9.6) being the final release of KK to support Mk1 hardware.
Which you can download here:
Hope that helps
