My Komplete Kontrol S61 MK3 and Komplete kontrol 8 loads really slow in Logic Pro X

First, I use
- Mac Mini M1 (2020) with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD
- MacOS Sonoma 14.7.2
- Logic Pro X 11.1.1
- Komplete Kontrol is 3.3.4
- I use Logic in Rosetta mode

First when I open a track within Logic, it takes close to a minute.
Them when I Choose an instrument like Electroc Mint it also takes a long time
also if I close down the window in Komplete Kontrol and opens it again it is quite slow

FIRST QUESTION - External harddrive
Most of my instruments form Native Instrument is moved to my external drive witch is a Samsung T7 with 2 TB. That disk is formatted with ExFAT? Should I format it to APFS (the I need to move everything to another drive that I dont have first, so I need to borrow an external empty disk first I think)? Anybody experienced things loading much faster with that formatting? Is it worth doing?

SECOND QUESTION - Rosetta mode
I have tried without Rosetta mode. Thing are then a little bit faster, but if I load older project where I used Komplete 7, the sounds wont play. Also if I load certain Session instruments like Acoustic Sunburst (se screenshot) it takes a long time to load and to cahnge sounds.

THIRD QUESTION - Not Rosetta mode
Is this something anybody else is experiencing? Are there any tricks og things I shoul try or do?

Everything was a lot faster with my old M1 keyboard an with Komplete 7, so this is quite frustrating.

I have almost the same setup as you. Some, not all sample libraries take forever to load. But I always do a batch resave afterward. That seems to help in reopening the library.

So there is not muck to gain by reformatting the SSD to APFS?

I’ve been using apfs since way back , so I’m not sure of any benefits over fat , what’s google saying ?
i just updated my external from a regular hdd to a ssd , because in maschine it was taking forever to load especially kontakt player 8 stuff like schema , I just went through some preset and it’s quicker, but I'm still seeing a slight delay with schema

AN UPDATE - Formatting
I went ahead and borrowed another SSD disk, transferred all the files to that one, reformatted the T7 to APFS and then transferred all the files back again. Took a quick test without any accurate measurements, but everything just felt a bit smoother and faster. Some plugins like Session instruments, Acoustic Sunburst where still slower then other instruments to load, but once it was loaded it was much quicker to change presets. Also Komplete 8 seemed to load faster. All in all the workflow definetly felt better.

- Operating system
Also, I thought I har MacOS Sonoma 14.7.2 installed, but after checking it was 14.6.1 😅. So I went ahead and updated the operating system. Now everything also seem to play without having to use Rosetta.

So, now everything seem to work perfectly, fingers crossed :)
