I am mind blown that I cant load effects with ease on any instrument when I load a Kontakt instrument with the KK controller…. starting to think NI hates is customers….

we can layer instruments, create our own sounds…. and can't load an effect????

Lack of ecosystem integration is diabolical work…. Maschine doesn't work with KK mk3? Huh?

I can't stack instruments in KK software…. it's a creative's black hole…. yes you can load effects but it's like so limited I have NO IDEA why it exists….

I can't access the tools or the LEAP library with KK…. The ONLY reason to use KK vst3 is being able to load something like Guitar Rig and actually scroll through the presets without using a mouse.

I have plugins that I paid for a decade ago that don't even load with a sane GUI. (Scarbee Funk Guitarist)

I can't even load something like Guitar Rig on a send channel and have the parameters pull on KK mk3 controller… this is borderline insanity. Nobody mapped Guitar Rig?????

I need a screen in 2025 to use an effect. I feel oppressed.

Maybe you're confused about what these tools are designed for. KK is simply a tool for managing a specific virtual instrument typically within a DAW. An effect is not a virtual instrument but it can be added to a virtual instrument within a DAW so you already have a screen within your DAW for managing any effect and where it needs to be placed within the signal chain of that track working in conjunction with the virtual instrument. Many of the virtual instruments come with their own capabilities for certain effects built into them, but if you want something special that's what the DAW affords you the opportunity to do.

NI has already stated there will be tighter integration with the new Kontakt tools in the near future. That's because the release schedules for the two products were too close to integrate everything at release time. It was well documented that the move to VST3 required a new software interface design. Not all libraries have converted to that industry standard because it's new, so some may need to be loaded within your DAW with a different version of KK.

It might be worth your time to spend some effort understanding all these relationships and situations so you won't get so frustrated with your expectations. All of these tools are complex and fairly sophisticated as far as software tools go and require a lot from the user to understand the concepts to be able to use them better.

Whoa don't throw the baby out with the bathwater :) I agree the whole system could be better integrated but Kontakt is not a plugin host so could not load other plugin effects, it was a good thing that NI responded to numerous user requests to make Kontakt work as a standalone product with the keyboards but that is what it is - it can't be expected to be able to do what it was never designed to do. Komplete Kontrol is incredibly useful because it enables any plugin to be integrated and controlled, as well as in many cases presets browsed via the keyboard, it makes no sense to argue that it should be discontinued. However it certainly does have its limitations which must be addressed in future development. Now that the on device MIDI is close to completion there needs to be a serious focus on developing KK including better support for fx (such as having an actual fx version) and I would love to see multi instrument capabilities along the line of how it works now in Kontakt 8.

Please do not open more discussions on the same issue , you already have one discussion going on the same theme so please use that , I am closing the thread here and refer you to use your other discussion : Can't load effects on Kontakt 8 Instruments
