Can't load effects on Kontakt 8 Instruments....

Is there a reason I can't load an effect on a Kontakt 8 instrument using the Mk3 controller?

    Yes - while it’s great to be able to use Kontakt 8 directly with the keyboard, the downside is you only get to access Kontakt 8 but not other plugins because Kontakt is not a plugin host. To do what you want you need to load up Kontakt 8 inside Komplete Kontrol, which is still the main way to integrate all plugins with the keyboard.

    Thanks, Kymeia… but when I load Kontakt or a Kontakt instrument in Komplete Kontrol I have no access to the LEAP instruments or the new chord and phrases tools……

    the lack of integration is confusing unless I'm missing something?

    Yeah this is something I have brought up myself (eg), you can load them via the Kontakt browser if you open it in edit view and the Leap instruments are mapped to the keyboard so playable but this is poor workflow and an example of lack of cohesiveness in NI's ecosystem at the moment.

    btw don't know why you rejected my answer - it is the only correct answer. Kontakt is not a plugin host, which is why you can't load effects when Kontakt is loaded from the keyboard; that is what Komplete Kontrol was designed to do. However I do agree that the whole ecosystem needs to be more harmonious.
