[Help] Why is KK's audio plugin not playing loop from beginning in DAW?
Hey guys, I'm sure this is an amateur question, but I'm having trouble figuring this out. Also, very sorry that I can't share a video right now, so bare with me…
As you can see in the screenshot, the loop is being played from the 3rd beat in KK's audio plugin and also in my DAW, however, I want the loop to start from the beginning whenever the MIDI note is first triggered in the timeline.
It's tying the "S" start position to the 1st beat in my DAW's timeline. How do I stop that?
If you can help me I'd greatly appreciate it!

Hello,
as you can see it´s in sync with the time line of your daw and you can´t change thet with the audio module. You could resample the loop and then use the sampler module this way you trigger the start also via note and it would work as you expect. Not ideal, that´s for sure, audio module would need a trigger mode or the sampler a proper audio stretch engine.

Or - just drag the audio loop right into the DAW and take Komplete Kontrol right out of the equation.
Then you can start it where ever you want.

Sure, but I guess I was wanting to play the loop with a MIDI trigger instead. I ended up using Leap inside Kontakt 8 and it's clearly the superior option for this in that it has all of the performance FX and Loop editing, etc.
But I agree that dragging the loop directly into the DAW's timeline is the most straightforward option.

I usually end up using ASDR Sample Manager (as a VST3) for this kind of thing if I really want to use a MIDI note trigger. Or even better - LoopMix by Audio Modern or even Sample One or Impact XT via Studio One.
Basically anything than Komplete Kontrol. It's all about how fast you work and the result you want.

That's exactly what I was having trouble with… the audio module wouldn't adjust the trigger start and the sampler module wouldn't time stretch. I also realized that neither of them snap to grid inside the modules!
I ultimately switched over to using Kontakt 8's Leap and it seems like the best option for triggering audio loops with MIDI and being able to edit the loops and trigger FX.
Thanks for clarifying that these are real issues inside Komplete Kontrol and not just my user error. Lol.

Thanks for these suggestions. I'll definitely check them out!
