Can't find my plug in

I downloaded a third party plugin that uses native instruments on my M1 Mac. The plugin appears to be installed in native access, but I don't see it in Kontact player. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

    Hello.

So now you are expecting from us to become fortune tellers and to magically guess which one is your plugin, or what? 🙄

By the way, Kontakt has no plugins. Only libraries and expansions.

Does it matter what the plugin

or “library” is? Shouldn’t the protocol be the same? It’s sonuscore orchestral elements. I appreciate any help I could get here, but I’m not sure why NI makes it so complicated.

Even this “help” page on iPad is flickering.

Yes, it does matter a lot, because plugins and libraries are two completely different things. And their "protocols" are totally different too. In fact, only plugins have a "protocol" (we actually use the word "format", not protocol). A plugin is a file. It can be a virtual instrument (which generate sounds) or effect (which process audio). A Library, is a collection of audio (and/or other types) files.

In your case, now we know that it is not a plugin. it is a library. And we know that this library is Sonuscore Orchestral Elements.

We also know (since you wrote it) that you have Kontakt Player version (which is not the Full version).
So, we are going to Sonuscore web site to check compatibility.

Indeed it support the Kontakt Player from version 6.7.1 and higher. I assume that you have, at least this version or above. If you have an earlier version, it will not play the library.

So, you should be ok! But as you wrote, you can't see it.

There are usually 2 reasons for that:

1- You have an earlier Kontakt version

2- The Sonuscore Orchestral does not have a .nicnt file in its root folder. In such cases, the library should be added manually.

Please confirm that you have the appropriate Kontakt version (6.7.1 or higher) so we can go to the second option and tell you how to fix it.

Show us what this instrument looks like in Native Access (screencap) to confirm it's availability.

And I assume you have added the supplied serial to Native Access and used the Locate function to inform NA of it's location?

In Native Access does it say installed or does it say locate ?

If it is saying installed did you then try the SonusCore Faq ?

P.S. To assist you I just went to the SonusCore site and got the The Orchestra Elements.

Be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

The The Orchestra Elements library needs you to first install the files downloaded from SonusCore and then use the "locate" function in Native Access to add The Orchestra Elements to Native Access

Then reboot PC and try again to see if you can find it in Kontakt

Else when located then try the SonusCore Faq

Else then try first resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access .

Then reinitialize the KONTAKT Database .

    Then reboot ,

Then try again to see if you can find in Kontakt

OK then, let's try to add it manually!

First, go to Library view, if not already there.

Now, go to the bottom-left and click the "wheel" icon

The "Import Content" window will appear.

Click the "Add" button, navigate to the folder which contain Orchestral Elements and select it (the folder)

Your library should be there now.
Close the Import Content window and you are good to go!

Unless if there is some kind of different issue, such as what PoorFellow mention in the above comment, the need to Locate manually the library (though system reboots are not really necessary, you just need to restart Native Access).

Have never seen any library (especially one that is NKS compliant) with the *.nicnt file work this way.

This will mess with the standard "left panel" placement in the Library tab importing this way.

I checked the install too - this is a standard file copy to your content directory via the Sonuscore download package. Then add your serial to NA and then use Locate. (in NA)

This is just like many other partner libraries - identical to many that I have here.

Library should then be authorized and appear in the standard left panel (Library View) in Kontakt.
