I have just bought a Maschine MK3 and can't get access to the sw on NA
I’m struggling to understand the workflow logic here. Based on other posts, it seems that NI restricts access to the software required to operate the controller, placing it behind a system that appears to be non-functional (Native Access)
This situation is incredibly frustrating and has caused unnecessary delays. I urgently need assistance to gain access to the Maschine software

It's not a deliberate plot by Native Instruments. It's something to do with the Maschine 3 download not being "enabled" when the hardware is registered. It's been broken for weeks now.
However it does seem strange that rather than fix the issue via Native Access, so it's resolved for everyone in one go, they ask everyone individually to contact support (who will presumably now be off for the holidays).
