Komplete Kontrol S-Series Mk2 vs Mk3 keyboard controllers for Maschine 3 dilemma

Hi! I plan to buy Maschine 3 software as DAW, Maschine Mk3 pad controller for playing drum VSTs and also Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk2 (used) or Mk3 for playing melodic VST instruments. The libraries I will use will mostly be Kontakt ones loaded in Komplete Kontrol software and then loaded into Maschine 3 software. Now, I've read that S-Series Mk2 keyboards currently work in Maschine 3 but wonder if they will still be supported for a while, when upcoming Maschine software 3 updates (3.1, 3.2 and so on) become available. At the same time, so I can decide more easily between the two, I would like to know if S-Series Mk3 keyboards will eventually (rather sooner than later of course) have the same deep integration with Maschine 3 software as S-Series Mk2 keyboards have now.

And, please let me know if currently beside Kontrol S-Series Mk3 keyboard's transport control buttons integration with Maschine 3 software also the Undo button of the S-Series Mk3 keyboards works with Maschine 3 software and if not, will it be implemented soon? I think at least Undo button integration is just as essential as transport control buttons integration. Thanks!

No, that's a negative , from what has been said so far then the S-Series MK3 keyboards at best will get a basic integration with Maschine.

(Readers please notice that moving forward then Chris_NI is handling the Komplete Kontrol and Matthew_NI has now moved to the Kontakt team !)

I can also add some clarity to the Maschine integration question,as I can see why what I've said and Simon has said may appear to be confusing.

It is true that we have no plans to bring back the deep integration Kontrol S MK2 had with Maschine. This involved dedicated hardware buttons on the Kontrol S MK2 itself, as well as visual screens representing pages in Maschine, again shown in Kontrol S MK2.This was really a lot of work for us to build and support, yet rarely used.

What Simon has mentioned elsewhere, and I in a few places, is that we're open to adding back at least a basic integration similar to DAW Control with other hosts (think: transport controls, mixing, maybe browsing). The earliest this would happen is Q4 2024, but no hard promise, as there are other things we intend to build first.
