Does Ensoniq CVP-1 CV Pedal work with Kontrol S49 Mk3 as an expression pedal?

I have an expression pedal for my old Ensoniq synth that I would like to use with my new Kontrol S49 but I have had no success yet. Anyone got this to work? Any tips?
