I can no longer use Massive since 1.7.0 update - UI oversized

I can no longer use Massive since 1.7.0 update because the UI displayed is oversized and there no mean to reach the right bottom corner making the user able to resize it.

It occurs in all environments. Standalone and as a VST3 plugin in Ableton Live Suite and Reaper (both DAWs up-to-date).

It would be helpful if anyone of you knows how to fix this :(

    Ok, i understood

First, i have to inform you that there is no "drag n' resize" option (check my comment to see why)

Now, about your problem, since you wrote that you can not use the mouse, you have to do it through your Windows Registry (do not worry, its easy).

Open your Registry Editor and go to this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Massive

Find the value named as "ViewSize", double-click it and change the value to 100 or 125 or 150.

Click "OK" and exit. That's it!

Note: A value of 100 resizes Massive to 100%, a value of 125 resizes Massive to 125% and a value of 150 resizes Massive to 150%. There is also an option for 200 but, do not try any other value apart of those above!

Click on File and under View Size… choose your preferred size. You can choose between 75%, 100%, 125%, 150% and 200%.

Other than this way, it is not possible to resize Massive by other means.

I am sorry but there is no such an entry within the File menu…

Even in Options there is nothing to change the size

    Well, it’s a start 😉

Now, when they do the same for FM8, then I pop up the champagne 👍

    Good job, NI !!!

There was never planned or mentioned a "resize" option.
    The option is:

    ADDED Scalable user interface

Scalable is not resizing. They are 2 very different things.

Plugin has a very old code and proper resizing requires a complete code re-writing.

The plugin practically has been replaced by Massive X and it's last 2 updates was more like a "gift" for us users, after many years of requests.

    It might get 1 or 2 more updates but that's it… i don't believe that there will ever be a Massive 2 version… :-(

Ever since I installed the Dec 16th update (1.7.0) it loads so small in Reaper that it won't even let me click on anything to try to adjust the size...can't drag to resize either. Appreciate if someone has any advice.

This is already answered and the solution is in the above comments

Maybe I was unclear…I cannot select anything (including the 'File' menu) or access any menus because things are so small despite a LOT of mouse clicking and trying to grab something. I cannot drag to resize. I've tried both the VSTi and VST3i for Massive.

All other NI plugins work fine (FM8, Absynth, Reaktor, etc.).

    Sunborn,

Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately this didn't have any effect for me. Is there something else we could try?

I did notice that if I open Massive standalone, it does open to the size I specified in RegEdit…something about the VST version not responding to the change.

@bhmcc did you restart your PC ? in case the value in the registry is cached
