kontakt 8 sound level too low

Hi, I am a beginner user of kontact 8. Recently properly install completed. However kontact 8 sound level is far too low compared to other software synthesizer. Also the sound not clear. Does anybody know how to make the sound leve higher ?

Well, you can already choose between -6db or 0db for the default volume.

It might seem too low for you on some instruments but keep in mind most of the libraries are samples and these can be very sensitive to velocity, so it's low to allow a greater dynamic range, like for traditional instruments and unlike most synthesizers.

Thank you ! Will follow your instruction. It is a bit frustrated since Kontakt 8 only gives me a low level of sound compared to other synth software.

What is the track level reading on your DAW? There are several volume controls on the various Kontakt instruments, so I would review the plug in controls first to make sure the preset volume is not too low; then I would check the Kontakt volume control, which is usually set at -6db; then check your DAW channel strip to see if anything there is reducing volume; last check audio interface output levels.

Since you mentioned being a beginner, I will add a recommended level to target in uour DAW of -15 to -18dbu. That said, you should be able to get to zero or overload with most all Kontakt instruments.
