What NI Software works as a Sample Editor (with Ableton)?
Here is another question from a newbie:
I recently purchased Ableton Live 12 Suite.
In the preferences i am asked to set a sample editor application in order to edit samples that i want to use with.
That got me thinking:
What NI Software works as a Sample Editor?
Does Kontakt do the trick, can it be used to open and edit samples for later use in ableton or maschine?
I also purchased the Maschine+ nad found some sample editing features though.
But working with other paas such as Ableton, what shall i use and/or what NI App can i set as the sample editor?
Thanks a million!

No NI app that I know have will allow you to edit audio like say you could in a true editing environment like Studio One or even Ableton.

You don't really need to put in an external editor in at all, it's just a preference. Some people use Audacity as a free workhorse editor, or maybe RX (technically part of NI) if they do a lot of dialogue cleaning etc.
Most casual editing you would need can be performed in Live without an additional editor.
