Phrases Tool in Kontakt 8 Multimode Logic Pro

Hello, This has been my experience so far in Logic Pro. The Phrases Tool takes over the midi channel of the last instrument added to a multi, then also takes over the midi channel of any other instrument added after the Phrases Tool. I have not been able to change the midi channel of any instrument that has been taken over by Phrases. So for example, If I want to apply Phrases Tool to a bass patch, change up the pattern a bit using Rotate and Invert, then apply that to a new instrument I am unable. Of course, I can drag the midi to a new track, or mute the first instrument. The other issue is if I want to add a pad afterwards, it is connected to Phrases as well and can't be disconnected. There's no way to change the midi channel. Seems odd that the midi channel is locked. Or maybe I'm missing something obvious.
