    I personally don't care about their samples/sounds sets, etc.; though this does feel to be a slap in he face.

    You know; the last time they were like, "just wait; we'll have news soon" was iMaschine.

    I'm not joking. It's another case of a product I don't care about since they never brought it over to android; but the forum had lots of people constantly asking about it. At some point they went into, ""we'll have an announcement soon" mode. That dragged on for a while until they made the announcement of "the product is officially dead".

    I'm being completely selfish here: I don't actually care if they were to kill of M+ or the entirety of maschine; but I do hope they're able to get class compliant audio interfaces working first. I'm not saying that's what they're about to do; though I'm actually surprised they continued with maschine 3 in the first place. The main driver for me to switch to M+ was because I thought maschine was dead. M+ provided a way for me to fix the mistake of buying studio; but also meant I'd have a sequencer/sampler with a workflow I like (i.e. not some wannabe tablet, touchscreen nonsense) that doesn't depend on a computer. I'm generally happy with it, but the limited I/O is a problem I've been putting off for years now.

    I usually type out my negative nancy thoughts and then delete before hitting "post comment". Sharing negative thoughts doesn't help the community; but this really feels like it's done in spite. I know that wasn't the goal. The timing just played out this way; but still.

    "I can't fault them for making a logical business decision" he says while the knife is still protruding from his back.

    I have MPC 1+ so im gonna test new things for sure but also feels strange as M+ Owner…

    if only. I would kill to have ducker on the Maschine plus. It is the one thing I miss from the Force. It’s way snappier than the sidechain offer in the Maschine compressor.

    You could probably do that with reaktor and an envelope follower. It's been a minute since I've played with reaktor, but it really is the killer feature for M+. Some things might take a bit more setup inside of maschine than you'd want (i.e. routing to inputs, etc); but it's still absurdly powerful.

    I would have felt really motivated to go try to build it a few years ago. I've kind of lost that inspiration now…

    i know many are likely feeling the same way as you are, but if there was one peice of good advice i could pass on, it would be NEVER push yourself into a corner

    the thought that some might carry, "stand alone is the way" and then make all decisions based on that single basis, is a sure way to lead oneself into a corner.

    Music applications & controllers configured & tailored to your vision & workflow, will see your motivation re-injected with vigor again

    perhaps some users might need to re-assess how they are doing things, that way we will never be let down or caught in a rut.

    i often have a laugh at comments on the NI-forums… and consider how people are reacting, and whats brought it on,

    it never ceases to amaze me the very consistency of NI… same ole same ole LOL nothing new

    clever people never end up in a corner!! *winx

    Thanks for the update and information, @Chris_NI Do you have any specific date or timeline for when this is expected to arrive? Matt mentioned back in December that it would be around December-January, but with January almost over, I was wondering if there are any updates.

    FM8, Massive, Battery and Reaktor going to be available for Akai MPC's users before the next update for Maschine +. 🤑 🏦

    It looks like "December-January" was unrealistic. But what is? "April-May" maybe next "December"? 🤣
